vodafone Ghana

Vodafone Ghana, a close competitor of MTN Ghana, arguably Ghana’s best telecommunication network has no sense of humour—yet itseemingly dishes out what can only be best described as oxy-moron to its customers.

Not long ago, Vodafone Ghana caused the arrest of a 20-year-old, Kwadwo Amakye in Ghana for pulling a prank in relation to a scratch card promo the company was running—the young man was nearly charge with forgery of document and the publication of false news.

Reasonably, a company which lacks any sense of humour should not be involved in anything close to humour but a ScrewLife.Com’s writer, also a Vodafone Ghana subscriber says, he woke up this morning to see the above message on his phone from Vodafone.

Shocked as to how Vodafone Ghana could give him a bonus of nothing (0.00 GHC) and add that it is valid for 5 days, he quickly called their Customer Service—thinking it was a mistake.

He claims when he called, the woman on the other side of the phone told him her system was down and as such, she could not look into the issue. But she insisted that, that’s the bonus he got—he can use it or forget about it.

While discussing the above at the office, Akosua Bruwaa, another ScrewLife.Com’s writer well known at the office for her ridiculous lies said; for years that she was with Vodafone, the network kept pulling all kinds of expensive pranks on her.

She said “I would buy 100GHS credit and go to sleep—by the next morning, I would be left with something like 40GHS. The Vodafone ghosts have used my call credit while asleep.”

Bruwaa says, it continued for years—until she was forced to port to MTN Ghana, where she is even facing a worse situation.

We tried several times to contact Vodafone Ghana’s Public Relation’s officer to comment on the above but each time, we got her answer machine “Out of Service Area.”
