Akua-Donkor

This is nothing new in the world of prisons and justice systems—since a recent reported indicates that the UK allowed over 1300 prisoners including those serving life in prison to go home last year to celebrate Christmas with their families.

This year, it is once again being reported that the UK will allow over 100 prisoners to walk out, go home and eat some Turkey with friends and family for Christmas.

Interestingly, MPs in UK are happy that this is at long last happening especially when some of these people who enjoyed the Christmas liberty are rapists, murderers and hard criminals. They say, this shows that UK prisoners are well treated.

Last night, UK’s Conservative MP-Philip Davies, who unearthed the figures disagreed with his colleagues, saying: “This is totally unacceptable. We should rather bring them out to clean our bins when we’ve finished enjoying our Christmas.”

Back in home in Ghana, founder and leader of Ghana Freedom Party (GFP)-the well spoken Akua Donkor, Minister of Loose Talk has appealed to President Mahama to also adopt the UK’s system and allow all prisoners from Nsawam and Kumasi to go home for Christmas—promising that they will surely return back to their base after Christmas.

According to Madam Akua Donkor, this will show the prisoners what they are missing by being in prison—and then when they return and are finally released, they would not want to commit any crime again so to miss Christmas.

Akua Donkor added that; Ghana is a Christian country and since Christmas is when Jesus Christ died, we should at least allow everyone to freely attend the Messiah’s funeral.

What a brilliant idea.
