President And Mrs. Bush Hold State Dinner For President Of Ghana

Born on December 8th 1938, John Agyekum Kufour, the second president of the fourth republic and father of five is one of the most respected personalities in the country.

He was given many names such as “Gentle Jak” and “Sexy eyes” during his time in office. His tenure in office has been described as one of the best by most political pundits. After serving two terms in office, he no longer became eligible for the office of the presidency hence making him an ex-president.

Today marks the 77th birthday of ex-president John Agyekum Kufuor. In celebration of his birthday, the ex-president has promised among other things to donate 90% of his ex-gratia money to charity.

This he explained to ScrewLife.Com by saying that, he his getting old and has no use for all the money he gets from his ex-gratia allowances. Therefore has no option than to donate it to the poor and needy. “My wife and children are all in support of this” he added.

He also admonished ex-president J. J. Rawlings to also do same as a sign of giving back to society. A birthday party will be organized in celebration of ex-president Kufuor later this evening at his residence.
