Dumsor Candle

The dumsor has been raging in this country for the past few years, causing problems in all sectors of the economies and in people lives that are too difficult to quantify.

It has even led to the deaths of some people.

John Mahama has been making a lot of noise that he wants to fix the dumsor permanently, and not make any short term solutions. He says that is why the dumsor has persisted for so long.

However, leaked documents from the Flagstaff House which has come into the possession of ScrewLife.Com show that the government is holding off on solving the dumsor until a few months before the next election.

The government commissioned a study to try and find out how long the attention span of Ghanaians is, to enable them detect the ideal time to solve the dumsor before the election.

Titled ‘On Ghanaians And Their Ability To Retain Information’, the study found that the maximum time span Ghanaians can hold on to one issue before moving on to the next is around two months. The study found that silly issues last in the public consciousness for a little over that period, but more important issues tend to be forgotten much quicker than that.

Conducted by KPMP, the firm recommended that for government’s intentions, solving the dumsor in July 2016 would be a good option. It would ensure Ghanaians would remember it during the election, but by that time the two month period has expired, thus having moved out of the consciousness of people- when they think about it they would think it happened a long time ago, rather than just a few months prior.

So watch out for July 2016.
