Miss Universe

Former Miss Universe Paulina Vega, center, removes the crown from Miss Colombia Ariadna Gutierrez, left, before giving it to Miss Philippines Pia Alonzo Wurtzbach

Even before tonight’s Miss Universe crowning chaos, the pageant had been attacked by several controversies this year including NBCUniversal, co-owners of the pageant pulling out as a result of a Donald Trump’s offensive comment about Hispanics in June.

At tonight’s finals which was hosted by Steve Harvey, the host mistakenly announced Miss Colombia as the ultimate winner instead of Miss Philippines. Miss Colombia then walked up, went ahead to blow the winning kiss.

Miss Colombia was hugged, given a flower and then the crown was placed on her head as the winner of the 2015 Miss Universe—taking several photos with smile.

But this was short lived because Steve Harvey soon realized what the f**K he had done and then came on stage to apologize—before correcting his mistake.

Eventually, the crown was taken off the head of Miss Colombia, and then given to Miss Philippines—Miss Colombia was announced as the first runner up.

However, Miss Philippines who is not happy and unforgiving about the whole incident has said, she honest believes Steve Harvey tried to rob her of her win—saying, she does not consider it as a mistake as it seems the host intentionally thought Miss Colombia deserved the crown over her.

She also told CNN’s Philippines’ report-Erika Alloynez  that it’s a shame Steve Harvey did that because he briefly robbed her of a deserving glory—and has tainted her win with his stupid personal interest.
