Ayittey Powers Says He Was Having Running Stomach That’s Why Bukom Banku Managed to Beat Him

For the second time, Ghanaian undefeated cruiser weight champion, Bukom Banku (born Braimah Kamoko), has beaten his close friend and fellow boxer, Michael Ayittey Powers, in their ‘repeat or revenge’ fight on Sunday morning.

The Joy Dadi-sponsored bout, which was held at the Kumasi Baba Yara Sports Stadium, saw Ayittey Powers go down after the fifth round, even though reports indicate his performance was far better than what he put on display in their first match.

After the match, Ayittey the ‘hair specialist’ spoke to ScrewLife.Com, saying he lost the fight because he was having running stomach (stomach upset).

According to him, he unknowingly drank an expired ‘Brukina’ some few hours before the bout and that made him ran profusely. Per his account, there was no way he could have told the organizers to call off the bout at that particular moment, so he decided to fight Bukom in that state.

Narrating his ordeal to us, Ayittey Powers said he continuously felt like ‘shitting’, even at the time he was throwing heavy punches at Bukom. According to him, the more he threw punches, the more he felt like defecating on himself so he had to relax.

“I knew ‘shitting’ on myself in the ring would be very embarrassing. In order to avoid that, I made Bukom knock me out in the fifth round so I could run to the toilet and ease myself. I want a rematch to prove to Ghanaians that I’m stronger than Bukom,” he added.

“I’ve learnt my lessons. I will never drink ‘Brukina’ in my whole life again,” Ayittey concluded.
