There have been airwaves and social media chaos following announcement that Ghana has agreed to settle two handsome Guantanamo Bay detainees, who were linked to Al-Qaeda and were once considered a threat to United States’ national security.
Many Ghanaians are worried; scared to the bone that bringing these people would somehow prompt terrorists to have interest in Ghana—thereby destabilizing the country such that they wouldn’t be able to enjoy the daily evening much loved Fufu.

In view of the hovering panic and the opposition parties’ jump on the conversation to paint the incumbent government as incompetent and a US stooge, the General Secretary of the ruling NDC party-Asiedu Nketiah has assured Ghanaians not to be worried at all because the United States got our back.
Speaking to ScrewLife.Com from the comfort of his well secured house in Accra, location; coded—-he said, “why are Ghanaians losing sleep over just two changed detainees who have now accepted Jesus Christ as their personal saviour. If anything at all, the USA which is bringing them to Ghana will protect us so people should just not worry at all.”
He added that “if anything bad was going to happen to Ghana, Bishop Owusu Bempah would have already seen it—and told us. So there’s nothing to be afraid of.”
