Nana Akufo Addo

Since almost every Ghanaian has a question or is worried about the resettlement of the two Guantanamo Bay detainees in Ghana in a deal between the country and United States, it has also become a concern of the opposition political parties.

It’s an election year in Ghana and while certain political parties are doing their best to score political points, John Mahama  and his NDC seem to be deluded that they’ve already won the election—hence, no need to score any point.

Several concerned Ghanaians including those from the dead have expressed shocked and panic about the fact that Ghana agreed to a deal with the United States to have these prisoners settle in Ghana.

The United States Embassy and the government of Ghana have all assured Ghanaians that there is nothing to be scared of—and that these two Yemenis who were detained for almost 14 years are no RISK, in fact, they are said to be born again Christians.

On the back of the above assurance, the flagbearer of the NPP-Nana Akufo Addo has thrown a punch line to  President Mahama, saying, “if indeed these two detainees are of no security risk whatsoever, then why don’t him settle them at the flagstaff house and share the place with cool dudes.”

He added “the flagstaff house is more than enough to accommodate 20 families so, it will be great for Mahama who agreed to the deal to accommodate them—that’s if he is 100% sure the assurances are valid. Also, that’s the meaning of leadership by example”
