The Gitmo detainees in Ghana saga doesn’t seem to be dying anytime soon.

Each day, Ghanaians learn something new which adds to the myriad of evidence that the government of the West African country has signed one hell of a messy deal with the United States which is desperately looking to close down its Guantanamo Bay prison to fulfill a political promise.

Currently, as to which country would even pay for the food and accommodation of the two detainees settled in Ghana remains problematic. The US government says it’s Ghana’s responsibility and Ghana also says, the US government is supposed to take care of any associated cost.

Whatever it is, the two detainees are not hungry as a reader of ScrewLife.Com claims she spotted them a few days ago peacefully buying hot wings and chips at Osu, a suburb of Accra.

Now, it has emerged that the United States pulled a fast one on Ghana—withholding vital information which could probably have changed the gov’t of Ghana’s position in accepting the detainees.

According to Ghana’s foreign Minister-Hanna Tetteh, not only did the US fail to show Ghana a report which branded the two as high security risk—but also, they US told them that the two were beautiful big bum women looking for a quiet place to settle.

Apparently, the United States government was able to entice Ghana with the fact that, these beautiful big bum women may actually marry Ghanaian men while in Ghana and bring forth some fine mixed race kids.

However, it turned out that the two, though beautiful with long hair—were never women, and how risky they are to the security of Ghana was wrongly disclosed.

And Ghana could not even find out by itself—can never return them as it stands, irrespective of whatever more the country gets to know at this stage.

That’s like buying from a ghost, you can never return whatever even if you don’t want it anymore. You are stuck with it—and probably, Ghana has never heard of caveat emptor.
