There have been unending discussions within Ghana’s political landscape over the need to revisit Ghana’s electoral register before the upcoming general elections—as the opposition party-NPP claims there are several ghost names, child names, dwarf names and even unborn names well fixed in the over bloated register.

The ruling party-NDC seems to say it’s not that bad and considering the fact that a new voters register would cost huge amount of cash which the country cannot afford and Alfred Woyome is not ready to lend the government any of his, the country should just manage with the existing register since the so called over-bloating is not bad as being exaggerated.

The Electoral Commission in charge of the register and the election itself has really not said anything, except to say, they cannot afford a new register—and on some days, the EC seems to suggest that some sort of a re-look at the register is definitely necessary.

Interestingly, ScrewLife.Com has been told that the Chairman of Ghana’s Electoral Commission-Mrs Charlotte Osei while bored at home yesterday decided to read the electoral register and see how many names she could memorize as part of a brain test—and shockingly, she could not find her own name.

That was shocking to her, we are told—she has since written to all stakeholders for a re-assessment of whether Ghana indeed needs a new electoral register or not.
