It is apparently no news that Sakawa (Internet-based fraudsters) boys drive Toyota Corolla more than any group of people in Ghana. It is however unclear if the monies they make from their fraudulent activities restrict them to the use of only Corolla, a line of subcompact and compact cars manufactured by Toyota, because almost every Sakawa guy in Ghana owns one.

Well, the good news is Toyota Motor Corporation, the Japanese automotive manufacturer that manufactures Corolla, is set to honor all Sakawa boys in Ghana for purchasing that specific line of cars at record high numbers.

The Managing Director of Toyota Ghana, Mr. Tetsuya Suematu, in a press statement acknowledged the remarkable contribution by Sakawa boys in Ghana to the growth of the company.

According to the company, Sakawa boys have played an instrumental role in the success of the company by constantly purchasing Toyota Corolla S in bulk, forcing the company to manufacture more.

This, according to the management of the world-class automotive company, is a way of reciprocating the immense contribution to the growth of the company by Yahoo boys (Sakawa boys).

In addition to honoring each Sakawa boy with a car, Toyota is going to make all Sakawa boys brand ambassadors for Corolla S – a marketing strategy employed by the company.
