Hearts of Oak’s Goalie Says He Intentionally Allowed Kotoko to Score Him So He Could Win His SuperBet
Soccer betting is one of the most popular betting activities in the world with SuperBet taking the lead as the most popular soccer betting site in Ghana. Many young ones find solace in this as a way of making money.
Today, Monday, May 2, 2016, the much anticipated football match dubbed Ghana’s El-Classico came off and at the end of the entire 90 minutes, Kumasi Asante Kotoko who are struggling in this year’s Ghana Premier League managed to beat Kenichi Yatsuhashi’s Accra Hearts of Oak by a lone goal.
Hearts of Oak’s goalkeeper, Abdoulaye Soulama, who has become the talk of town after scoring an own goal and receiving red card afterwards for committing a foul has finally come out to explain his actions.
According to the Burkinabé football player, he placed a bet that Kotoko would win the game by a lone goal. He said, in order to increase his chances of winning more cash, he decided to bet on which player would receive the second red card of the game.
Asked why he decided to betray his beloved team, Abdoulaye Soulama said he wouldn’t term it as betrayal but a smart and brilliant move of making money.
“My team hasn’t paid me for several months and I’m in need of money. My landlord is always chasing me for his rent. In order to redeem myself, I staked the bet knowing that I would be the one in the goalpost. As I sit here, I’m extremely excited because I’ll be going for my money at SuperBet, Madina branch, tomorrow. Now that I’ve discovered a new way of making money, I will make good use of it all the time,” he said.
