President Mahama

The President of Ghana, John Dramani Mahama has today donated 20 Jet Skis, 53 boats and several bags of rice and roofing sheets to the heavily hit victims of yesterday’s flood—and has also promised that, floods will soon become a thing of the past.

Speaking at small ceremony organised for the donation showcase after the usual disaster inspection tour which he has been waiting for since January, the President with a smile said; “Government is working hard to ensure that the annual floods end and we are turning to all possible solutions, including obtaining a Chinese loan for mass gutter reconstruction exercise in the country as well as prayers.”

He added; “I entreat every Ghanaian to trust me, that I will ensure flood does not continue to bring us together this way and displace several hard working Ghanaians.”

“For me to follow through with the already started efforts to end this annual disaster, a second term in office is necessary and Ghanaians must vote for me to be able to make this happen for the good of our country.”

The President further promised that, a national emergency holiday will be declared if the flood continues and the roads become badly inaccessible.
