Hassan Ayariga, the founder and leader of Ghana’s newly formed political party-All People’s Congress (APC) has told Joy News that, the Brexit campaign which has led to the UK about to leave the European Union must be carbon copied in Ghana in relation to Ecowas.

Ayariga says, the global political climate as have been shown in the UK is such that there’s no need for any form of regional or continental communities that tie countries together under this weak and uncontrollable concept of free movement of goods and people.

He therefore thinks it’s time Ghana exits too—and by this, he wants Ghana out of the Economic Community of West African States (ECOWAS)—a regional community he says has led to Nigerians flooding Ghana uncontrollable and doing great disservice to Ghanaians, especially in the area of employment, education and fraud.

“I am happy for Britain and what they have done shows that we should all re-evaluate our memberships in various regional and continental unions to see if they are truly benefiting us since times have changed,” Ayariga said.

He added; “Ghana must exit the ECOWAS too because frankly speaking, I do not see the benefits we are gaining yet the chaos it is causing is all over—especially with the influx of Nigerians in our country. This is one of the things I have been secretly nurturing, waiting to become the president of Ghana so I can enforce it.”

“The truth is, Ghanaians are not even going to stay in Nigeria under ECOWAS but our small country is flooded and over-burden such that common local fraud boys are even complaining” he concluded.
