Lawyer Maurice Ampaw: My Doctor Says I Have Stomach Ulcer and Therefore Cannot Go On Hunger Strike Now That Montie 3 Have Been Pardoned

Private legal practitioner-Lawyer Maurice Ampaw sworn that if President Mahama pardons the Montie 3, he will go on a hungry strike in protest of the unconstitutionally of the president’s action.

Now, President Mahama has gone ahead to pardon the jailed Montie 3 and Lawyer Ampaw is expected to honestly start his hunger strike mission.

However, Ampaw has told Happy Fm in Accra that, unfortunately he cannot fast because his doctor says he has stomach ulcer–and fasting will mean his death.

Asked whether he did not know of his ulcer situation before making his initial statement to go on hunger strike, he said: “I forgot” and simply dropped the phone.
