Police Commander Says They Handcuffed Angel Bishop Daniel Obinim Because They Didn’t Want Him to Fly Away–Answer to Why the Police Handcuffed Him
A commander at the Police Headquarters in Accra has answered to a question ScrewLife.Com posed as to whether it was necessary to handcuff Angel Bishop Daniel Obinim when he visited the police station over flogging charges.
GhanaCelebrities.Com published photos and videos of Angel Obinim and his associate handcuffed–though Obinim is a prominent person who wouldn’t run away and also respectfully honoured an invitation by the police.
We knew it was out place so we placed a called to the Police Headquarters and spoke to station commander; Andrews Apalu who told us this:
‘Yes we had to handcuff him because as an Angel, he could just fly away or vanish. We were worried if his wings came and he flew away, Ghanaians would call us incompetent.”
Bishop Obinim is currently facing multiple lawsuits and complaints, one filed by Minister of Gender, Children and Social Protection, Nana Oye Lithur at Accra Regional Domestic Violence and Victims Support Unit (DOVSSU) for flogging two church members a few days ago at his church.
