Abena Amankwaa, an 18 year old girl from the Ashanti Region of Ghana has reportedly committed suicide over her Facebook crush.

According to her best friend, Abena, who recently completed SHS was obsessed over her Facebook crush that she always used to download his pictures and flip through them on her phone.

“She would download his pictures, screenshot their chats, like all his posts and keep poking him on Facebook to get his attention” Her best friend said.

“On Friday evening, she kept weeping and said she had a heartbreak. She showed me pictures of her crush with another lady and the caption suggested that, the lady was his girlfriend. She had already taken an overdose of a drug which she showed me. She collapsed in my arms before I could even calm her down.” She added.

Her family rushed her to the hospital and the doctor declared her dead after a few minutes.
