After a backlash received by Puma on Social Media regarding the new Black Stars jersey, the jersey sponsor of the team released a press statement.

According to the press statement, Puma did not solely handle the design of the new jersey. “We outsourced it to one Efo Agovinye from Kpando who promised to do a better job.”

“When we saw the design, we did not really like it but he said his people like red. We therefore thought it was normal until we launched it. However, we cannot do anything about it now because of where he comes from. We are very scared…” the statement read.
