“Shooting The Seven Men Was A Mistake” – Ghana Police Service
The Ghana Police service yesterday had it very hot for shooting some seven suspected armed robbers. Some leaders of the ruling party, the New Patriotic Party (NPP) and leaders of the community of these young men have come out to refute the claims by the police that these men were armed robbers.
We called the police yesterday and tried to ask them if they believe the killing of these young men was the right thing to do? The officer who we spoke to however defended the act viciously and said the young men were truly armed robbers and they deserved what they got.
In a rather strange turn around of things, we woke up this morning and saw a love letter the IGP sent us saying they were wrong. We ask him when and how they made such a conclusion and this is what he had to say;
“My men called me yesterday and said they believe they young men were not the write people to kill. They added that they thought the young men resemble some people they came into contact with about some ten years ago. They therefore want to apologize and say it was a mistake. However, everything I am telling you guys is also a lie because the young men are not even dead. The bodies we showed are just dummies. Their families we get them as soon as we get the body of Castro “.
