President Mahama May Soon SACK Ministers Who Failed to Attend Power Barge Inauguration
Some few days ago, the power barges that are supposed to ease the intensity of ‘Dumsor’ arrived in Ghana. These power barges were met with a grand inaugural ceremony. Many dignitaries and diplomats were invited with ScrewLife.Com also in attendance to take coverage.
As per the duties of every minster in the country, all ministers were supposed to be in attendance. Some ministers attended but others paid deaf ears to the call of the president to have them at the ceremony. At the ceremony grounds, an attendance book was kept where ministers would sign in when they arrived and sign out when leaving.
After the ceremony, the president looked at the attendance book and to the utmost surprise of the president, majority of his ministers did not attend.
We are told the president has issued a decree for all the minister who were absent to appear before him with tangible explanation or face being throw off during his next reshuffle.
In an interview with ScrewLife.Com, the president’s aid made it clear that the president will use those absentee ministers as scape goats to serve as a deterrent to other ministers who wouldn’t heed his call to attend such important national ceremonies.
“This way, the next time I tell them to even come for the inaugural ceremony of my new mobile phone, they will show up,” President Mahama is reported to have said.
