In most of his interviews, champion boxer-Floyd Mayweather has proudly said that he would never open his wallet to give out money to anyone. He believes that giving renders the giver bankrupt.

Per this perception, he believes that hoarding money is the right way to go. Other philanthropists such as Akon have pleaded with the retired boxer to at least give to the poor Africans who share the same color with him.

But then Mayweather insists this is a bad idea.

Mayweather has been reported in the past to have said “[People] say ‘well, he got all this money, why is he not giving to Africa?’” starts Mayweather. “Well, what has Africa given to us? What has Africa came and gave to my children and to my family? Things work two ways.”

Akon, another US based global celebrity is not really impressed with Mayweather’s take when it comes to giving, especially considering how Akon has taken upon himself to provide Africans with solar power. So far, the 42 year old musician has provided over 600 million Africans with electricity.

ScrewLife.Com caught up with Akon’s sidekick to find out about the star’s on-going solar project in Africa.

The sidekick said that, Akon is always sad and hardly eats because rich people tend to ignore the poor they can help to ease their pain. He added that Akon thinks Mayweather is one of such heartless, greedy, rich men who spend their money on cars and women.

According to the man who claims to have the best friendship with Akon, greedy rich men like Mayweather will soon go bankrupt as a result of mismanagement. He added that, instead of helping Africans, Mayweather metaphorically and literally burns a lot of cash annually—just to make the statement, I have them but will never give it to these lazy black people.

Akon’s solar project will begin in Accra, Ghana next year. We are told he plans to provide 50,000 Ghanaians with solar power.
