Ibrahim’s Private Jet Services

Many Ghanaians have received with joy the government of Ghana’s directive to various Ministers—which stated that Ministers travelling on official state trips should not use state funds for first class plane tickets.

Averagely, a first class ticket runs into 4,000 dollars—sometimes, it can even go as far as 10,000 dollars.

While many Ghanaians are excited about the government’s obvious attempt to safeguard the remaining coins in the national coffers, ScrewLife.Com has learnt that, Ministers can still stay in 2000 dollars a night hotels when they are on state assignments.

In fact, our source at the presidency said: “the directive only deals with first class tickets and as such Ministers can even charter flights and still have the state footing the bill—that’s not first class ticket.”

Our source added that “Ministers can still continue to stay in whatever hotels they prefer and the state will comfortably pay. These are the most intelligent, important and honourable citizens of the land so they deserve to sleep well so they can carry out their state duties effectively.”

Apparently, the government’s ban on first class travel is just to encourage Ministers to use the new chartered flight/private jet services the brother of the President-Ibrahim Mahama has recently established—which the President is reported to have used when he traveled to Iran earlier this year.
