Albino

Reliable information reaching Screwlife.Com has it that, the Association of Albinos in Ghana in conjunction with their branch in Nigeria, is set to embark on a massive demonstration against Ghanaian and Nigerian filmmakers for not casting them for movies – and to test their case in court.

Do you know or can you name just one celebrity actor in Ghana who is an albino? Well no one readily comes in mind and it’s abundantly clear we have none! Albinos are humans just like all of us- but due to their skin colour and sometimes ‘funny’ looks, many discriminate against them – especially in Africa, Tanzania, is another country we can name!

Filmmakers in Ghana and Nigeria do not cast albinos for movies. Though movies serve as a mirror of the society, characters portrayed in Ghanaian movies are all non-albinos – as though we don’t have albinos in Ghana and Nigeria or they are not characters befitting for movies.

Their demonstration, according to sources, will start at the Obra spot in Ghana – – in circle and end at the Attorney General’s office where they will serve the latter their petition of discrimination. A similar match will take place in Lagos, Nigeria.

A portion of their petition reads:

“We the albinos of Ghana and Nigeria are very mad at Ghanaian & Nigerian filmmakers for not casting us for their movies. We may look strange but that is what makes us out of the ordinary. We can act! The John Dumelos, Ramsey Noahs, Majid Michels, Agya Koos, and others are not better actors than us!

“We are humans with talents! Some of us can kiss better! We can play lover boys and girls in movies! We can twerk! We can do anything in movies – – just test us and see! We call on you filmmakers to start casting us for movies with immediate effect.

“Else, we shall sue all of you. The call is now or never! We are coming after you!”
