Gitmo Detainees Spotted At KFC At Osu in Accra Buying Chicken Wings & Chips
Kumawood was right when they said “Guantanamofoa wo kromu”—since the two handsome Gitmo detainees who have become instant celebrities in Ghana have really landed despite the public outcry.
According to a ScrewLife.Com reader, she spotted the two detainees peacefully buying chicken wings and chips at Osu KFC and there were not problems.
Apparently, she was in a queue with them yesterday, just right behind them and she heard them saying, “it’s been a long time we actually bought our own food; freedom is really great.”
The other then replied “I therefore don’t understand why Ghanaians think we will do something silly so that America will throw us back into some prison as dogs. Who does not want to be able to come and buy his own KFC.”
The reader-Yaa Bruwaa who works around the KFC area said, she did not say a word—she was scared at first but after hearing their conversation which was in Arabic and also monitoring how peacefully they grabbed their wings and chips, she realized, it is not that bad as the media has made it to seem.
She told us “those guys are really cool, gentle and peaceful. They even gave the girl who served them a tip, something most Ghanaians do not do.”
