prayers

A Chinese evangelical church which is saddened by the failure of God to answer the prayer request of it members hired a group of Japanese and Chinese scientists to create a fake God who actually answers prayers—and on time.

Members of the Church of Eternal Life in Beijing are desperate and upset with the many times they go on their knees to ask for favours from God without any response and many have therefore stopped attending church service.

The leaders of the church in an attempt to address the situation have created a prayer request box in which a sculpture of God has been placed, for members to write their prayer request and drop it in the box.

Every 3 days, the church elders open the letters to read and fulfil the request of the church members—mostly ranging from financial difficulties to relationship problems.

The head pastor of the church-Pastor Lee Chan Lu told China Daily Press yesterday that “it is frustrating to bring salvation to people and keep them under the feet of God when they can’t get some basic things they ask from a God we are telling them answers prayers and has great things for them.”

“Therefore, we had to come up with a way to answer prayers on God’s behalf to keep the church members from stress and being swayed away by disappointment,” he added.

Lee continued;  “some of the prayer requests are basic as needing a new iPhone and wanting money to pay rent: these we provide in a way that looks genuine from God.”

And the church members are happy!
