‘I Wrote Most of The Hit Songs You’ve Been Listening To’ – D Cryme
Ever-vibrant and prolific Ghanaian musician who has been churning out hit songs, Dr. Cryme, claims he’s behind most of the hit songs we hear from our favorite Ghanaian musicians.
The ‘Kill me shy’ hit maker made this assertion when ScrewLife.Com contacted him for his opinion on the state of our music industry. Among other things, the Tema-based singer/rapper stated that the likes of Sarkodie, Shatta Wale, himself and a couple of others are working hard to shape the industry and make it more attractive to the up and coming ones.
Asked why people label him as a one hit musician, D Cryme said it’s ignorance that make such people talk like that.
According to him, he has been busy writing songs for other top-notch musicians. Per his claim, all the songs he has written for those musicians have been hit songs.
“When people describe me as a one hit artiste, I just laugh because they do not know what I’ve been doing for their favorite artistes. I’m saying this on record, I’m behind most of the hit songs we hear on radio,” D Cryme said.
When pushed to the wall to back his claims with examples, D Cryme mentioned songs like Yewo Krom (Atom), Kakai (Shatta Wale), Mansa (Bisa Kdei), Adonai (Sarkodie ft Castro), Selfie (VVIP), Hw3 (Becca), Antenna (Fuse ODG), Ekiki Me (Wisa Greid), Aposor (Nicholas Omane Acheampong) and Susuka (Kofi Kinaata).
It is now clear that the Twi Pop Record boss has been working really hard behind the scenes, therefore, deserves commendation.
