Mahama Buses

As part of the ‘Better Ghana’ agenda, President Dramani Mahama has imported about 250 buses from Nepal to help ease Ghana’s growing transportation problem.

And as soon as the buses landed in Ghana, Smarttys Management’s CEO- Selassie Ibrahim has placed a bid, asking that the buses should be given to her company for rebranding—-but this time, she would charge less.

Apparently, President Mahama is not keen on talking about rebranding the buses because of the unending bashing Ghanaians gave his government following Smarttys Management’s scandal.

However, certain heads at the seat of the presidency are saying, it’s an election year and a re-branding of the buses with images of the various developmental projects the NDC has done so far would be able to score a political point for the president.

And therefore if Smarttys Management says it would do the rebranding at a cheaper cost than the previous, there’s no harm in giving the contract to the company—after all, everyone deserves a second chance and Ghanaians are religious enough to always forgive and forget.
