‘I Am Not SICK…I Have Just Been Fasting for A Hit Breakthrough Song’—Asem Tells Fans
Social media was shocked last night—as many wondered what must have happened to Ghanaian musician-Asem of ‘Give Me Blow’ fame.
A photo said to be that of the current state of Asem emerged online late last night, showing the musician extremely thin—as though he had been housed at a Somalian prison for a century.
Some said he was sick, others claimed he looked sick—and a few said, he’s been on a serious weight loss expedition.
The musician spoke to Space Fm in Sunyani this morning and explained that, he’s not anything like being claimed.
He said; “I am not sick, neither am I into any dangerous weigh loss scheme. I have just been seriously fasting each day for the God of Israel to give me a hit single. At least, one hit p3 so I can come back on TV.”
Asked if he was just praying and fasting without making studio visits, Asem replied; “I am fasting for inspiration to write the next single and that’s why I have lost so much weight. I sometimes go for 3 days without even drinking water to let God know I am serious with my demand.”
Asem also mentioned that, his musical come back will surely be grand—and it can even be a gospel song, to the glorification of the God of Israel who gives hit songs to those who fast hysterically.
