15 Out of the 36 So Far Appointed Ministers By President Akufo Addo Including Osafo Marfo And Ken Ofori Atta Have Indicated They Wouldn’t Take Any Salaries for the 4 Years–Working for Free for Better Ghana
To the shock of many, Ghana’s new President-Nana Akufo Addo who promised to be stingy when it comes to spending to be able to protect the remaining resources of Ghana has so far appointed 36 Ministers–with many saying on social media that he’s just creating jobs for the boys.
Ghanaians expected his Ministers to be at least less than the many former-President Mahama appointed but he has appointed about 10 more–with speculations that more will come, notably, Minister for Debt Collection Affairs.
What’s more refreshing is that, 15 out ot the 36 Ministers named so far including millionaires-Ken Ofori Atta and Osafo Marfo have said they wouldn’t take any salaries for the 4 years that they intend to serve.
They have indicated they want to work for the betterment of Ghana–for free, except that they will take their handsome ex-gratia when their service comes to and end.
