“Pastor Mensa Otabil Should Focus On His Preaching And Leave Our Fufu For Us”–Says Kumasi-Based Chop Bar Operator

Beatrice Asantewaa, a “chop bar” operator at Bantama in the Ashanti Region has said that Mensah Otabil should stop spreading falsehood.

“Pastor Mensa Otabil doesn’t know what he is talking about” she said in an interview with Nhyira FM.

According to her, when sweat mixes with Fufu, it adds flavor to the food and does not pose any health threats as Pastor Otabil said.

“If he does not like fufu, he should say it and stop spoiling our business. He should stick to his bible and leave our fufu for us,” she added.

Pastor Mensa Otabil, in a presentation at the National convocation of the 2017 Springboard Roadshow said, “It (Fufu) is killing us; because you know Africans we don’t know what kills us, the thing is killing us but you say it’s a witch, because we never identify objectively the cause of the problem…..Come to think of it, this fufu in this mortar is not sanitized, what impact does it have on our lives?”

This statement by the Man of God have attracted mixed reactions from many in the country–with chop bar operators across the 10 regions having become super furious.
