Pr Odomse Akuoko-Nyantakyi, registrar of the Valley View University has been asked to proceed on leave by the management of the University. This comes after a promotional video which went viral on Sunday, April 2, 2017 was described by many as unprofessional and mediocre due to its primitive nature.

In an interview with Joy FM’s Kojo Yankson, the acting PRO, Nana Osei Agyemang said “the management of the school knew nothing about the video when it was released and take no responsibility for it.”

According to him, the Registrar, Head of IT and the Head of Corporate Communications (who have all been asked to proceed on leave) at the Valley View University were in charge of getting a promo video for the school through an open competition.

“During a management meeting last month, the Registrar, Head of IT and Head of Corporate Communications were appointed as members of the panel which was tasked to scrutinize entries of a competition meant to select a promo video for the school. The selected video was supposed to be submitted to management before further actions would be taken.

For now, they have been asked to proceed on leave until further notice.” He said.

” The institution upholds excellence and such mediocre videos do not reflect what we stand for. We believe in meeting current trends to put our school in a good position among Universities in Ghana” He added.
