Gov’t of Ghana Procures $10 Million to Set Up Sports Betting Centers As A Way of Curbing Unemployment
Unemployment has always been a battle that every government that comes into power wants to win. It is however difficult as the rate of unemployment shoots up every year. This has caused certain unemployed graduates to set up an organization for people of their kind.
A breakthrough came for these unemployed Ghanaians when sports betting companies started trooping into the country. The betting companies created jobs for these unemployed who would go to these centers and spend their little money gambling.
One would see them crowded at the venues and in long queues in order to stake their bet. This caught the attention of government, hence the decision to invest into the business to help create more employment.
Despite the fact that these unemployed Ghanaians do not even have enough money to stake their bets, government has managed to procure a $10 million deal from the Chinese government to help build more betting centers.
ScrewLife.Com gathered that the government of Ghana will start constructing these betting centers early next year. The centers will be well positioned so that the unemployed can easily access to go and waste their little money.
A 20 member committee has been set up to see to the proper execution of this all important project as government claims this is one of the greatest ideas there is to reducing the rate of unemployment.
