The Governing Council of the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST) will Friday, February 5, 2016, confer honorary doctorate degree on founder and leader of Ghana Freedom Party, Madam Akua Donkor for her excellent and valuable contributions to politics in Ghana.

Madam Akua Donkor is being honored for her passion, contributions, love for politics, firm stand on issues and the role she has played in the transformation of the nation’s democratic system.

The Vice-Chancellor of the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology, Prof. William O. Ellis, made the announcement when he led a high-powered delegation from the University to formally inform Ghana’s Donald Trump – Madam Akua Donkor – of the University’s intentions.

Prof. Ellis stated that “Madam Akua Donkor is indeed an overly intelligent woman who tackles issues carefully. The way she contributes to political and general discussions amazes the Governing Council of the University.”

According to him, one needs a very high IQ to understand Madam Akua Donkor because she is very deep in thoughts. He further stated that “whoever introduced this woman into politics has indeed ‘helped’ Ghana. The University has therefore thought it wise to confer an honorary doctorate degree in NONFA on her.”

This implies that after Friday, our honorable madam Akua Donkor will be referred to as Dr. Akua Donkor – the only Doctor in NONFA Affairs.
