Government of Ghana to Remove Pockets from Police Uniforms As Part of the Fight Against Corruption From August 2017
As part of President Akufo Addo’s fight against corruption in Ghana, it has emerged that the new set of Police Uniforms which would be issued from August 2017 will have no pockets.
Ghana Police proudly resides on the Ghanaian ladder of corruption as the most corrupt–beating the global leaders, politicians.
This new proposal if implemented would leave a lot of Ghanaian police officers who take bribes from roadside a little worried–as to where they would hide the monies they take.
SL is told that the Police Command in Ghana has said it will resist any attempt to make their uniforms pocketless, as these pockets serve an important purpose–that is it beautifies their total appearance.
