Family member of Mr. Kissi Amoateng in Sunynai, Brong Ahafo Region have been shocked by images captured by a local photographer-Oboy Spirit, at the funeral of Amoateng—as several of the images showed Amoateng standing in the crowd and crying at his own funeral.

According to local reports, Oboy Spirit who is a sort of funeral celebrity photographer was hired to capture images of the final rites of Mr. Kissi Amoateng which took place near the Sunyani Cocoa Board building last Saturday.

After the well attended funeral, Oboy Spirit presented the captured images to the family on Monday so he would be paid—and while the head of the family, Mr. Yaw Oteng Amoateng was looking at the captured photos, a man who looked like the deceased was spotted but that particular photo was not really clear.

As he kept looking through, five clear shots of the deceased were seen and in all of then, he was heavily crying while standing in the gathered crowd.

The photos were shown to the rest of the family members who confirmed that the crying man was the dead, Mr. Kissi Amoateng, reports Sunyani based Sky Fm.

In one of the photos, he was seen standing near a man who is known to the family but when the man was showed the picture, the shocked man said he never saw anyone like that standing next to him on that day. But this man was heavily intoxicated on that day so he couldn’t have even been aware of his surrounding.

The family has come to the conclusion that Mr. Kissi Amoateng was at his own funeral—perhaps, the needed confirmation of the long held belief in Ghana that the deceased make it to their own funerals to see how things turn up.
