Shatta Wale to Perform At Samini Fest 2015– For A Year Supply of Pito

The dancehall fraternity in Ghana is never complete without the inclusion of the genre’s heavyweights- Shatta Wale and Samini.
Fans of these two great artistes are always at each other’s throat whenever issues of the best dancehall artiste in the country are raised. This beef (as that’s how they call it) has been going on for a long time and efforts made by industry giants to cook it and serve it for both artistes to eat has proved futile.
The turnaround came when Shatta Wale became the father of a bouncy baby boy whom he named Majesty. He released an apology letter to all the people whose toes he has stepped on with his dancehall boots most especially Samini.
He said he did what he had to do so as to make his son grow up in a beef-free environment.
The camp of Samini months later responded to this apology with a track titled ‘Vex Mad’. This track was released prior to the launch of SAMINIFEST 2015.
At the launch, names of artistes who would be performing at the event were outlined-Shatta Wale was out. In an interview with Samini, he stated that his management and that of Shatta Wale are working together to get the artiste on board for the event slated for the 5th of December, 2015.
Just when we thought all hope was lost, Shatta Wale released a statement that his management together with Samini’s have reached an agreement for him to perform at the event.
To satisfy ScrewLife.Com’s curiosity, we phoned Shatta Wale to ask him about the details of the contract.
According to him, he was promised a certain amount of money for his performance but then decided to trade the money for something more profitable to him-Samini’s mother’s pito.
He said he has fantasized about drinking some of Samini’s mother’s pito for a very long time. He even dreams about it most of the times to the extent he nearly named his new born baby Pito.
He could not however have access to the pito due to the beef that was between them. So when the opportunity presented itself, he jumped at it. Therefore instead of a cheque or cash, Shatta Wale will be receiving free pito for the next 365 days.
That guy is really smart.
