The outspoken political and social commentator-Kofi Wayo has been silent for some months now—which has led some folks to speculate that he is broke and as such has decided to mind his own business.

But then, the Gitmo detainees’ brouhaha has fetched him out of his silence room—he joined the conversation totally upset.

In a brief interview with GTV, Kofi Wayo who spoke about the upcoming general election used the opportunity to throw in two lines about the detainees’ saga.

He said; “for me, what upsets me more is the fact that before we know, these detainees will chopping our beautiful Ghanaian women and already having children with them.”

He added “we all know the obsession of some of our Ghanaian women when it comes to anything light skinned—they will win the women over any Ghanaian and that’s troubling to me.”

“Now, if they start having children in Ghana, how would it be possible to expect them to leave after the two years of their mandatory stay in the country?,” Wayo asked.

For almost a month now since President Mahama entered a deal with the United States to house two Al-Qaeda linked Gitmo detainees in Ghana, most Ghanaians have expressed their shock and worry about the president’s decision.
