Association of Global Scientists Asks Dr. Mensa Otabil NEVER to Use Any Scientific Or Tech Gadget Again
Dr. Mensa Otabil, the founder and leader of the International Central Gospel Church [ICGC] called scientists fraudulent and ridiculed their many irrefutable theories as lies yesterday during a church sermon in Accra with celestial pride disguised under the banner of the Faith vrs Reason/Science argument.
The man of God said among other things that, science will always play second to religion—and despite the overwhelming evidence, he claims religion is the fuel on which progress, civilisation and development runs, and not science.
During his sermon which he ironically delivered from an auditorium made possible by science, used a microphone and electricity invented by science, he asked his congregation to disregard and treat scientific findings which contradict their faith with gross contempt.
Per a free thinker who was at the church; “Otabil literally asked his congregation to ignore reason, evidence and science for faith and requested that they continue to rely on a bronze age book called the Bible whose authors at the time thought the earth was flat when this book contradicts modern science.”
Otabil’s teachings has angered the world governing body of scientist-Association of Global Scientists and as such, their social media spokesperson, Neil Tyson Degrees has tweeted with more than 42 characters, saying, Mensa Otabil should stop using all technological and scientific gadgets as they are all fake, fraud and non-religious.
Neil Tyson Degrees said; “It’s interesting that standing on the back of science, Otabil decided to kill the scientific spirit of free inquiry and innovation, the pillar of human progress—by not asking his followers to employ reason to digest scientific findings but to ignore such findings absolutely on the tenets of faith.”
He continued; “For this gross contempt to the science community and Otabil’s perfidious contribution to the conversation and human progress, it wouldn’t be insane that we ask him to stop using any gadget or product of science and ask his faith to wish into fruition the mics, car, computer and internet he uses daily.”
Though all sophiscated Theologians, Bible scholars and even the Pope agree that the Big Bang and Evolution as postulated by contemporary science are true, Dr. Mensa Otabil who owns a university that teaches these things as true during teaching hours on Sundays adopt a special position, claiming they are false.
