drones

The NPP is super cynical and to avoid another ‘Stolen Verdict’ or ‘Pink Sheet’ court battle, the party has imported about 400 pieces of drones from Taiwan to hover in the air of selected polling stations in the Volta Region.

The drones, dubbed Eagle Eye Drones, which are fitted with HD cameras can fly as high as 200 miles into the sky and be still able to capture what’s happening below it–even in the night…

Though the drones have landed in Ghana safely, the Electoral Commission which has each charged human journalist 10 GHS for media accreditation has said the NPP will only be allowed to fly the drones near any polling station for monitoring if they pay 200 GHS per drone, a total of about 80,000 GHS in all.

Without time to go to court to challenge this decision, SL is told the NPP might cough out the amount so to enable them to have their sky monitoring.
