Toronto Man Who Raped HIV/AIDS Woman Sues Her For Infecting Him With HIV–Claims Woman Did Not Warn Him She Had HIV
A Toronto man whose name cannot be mentioned for legal reasons has filed both civil and criminal lawsuits against a woman he raped–claiming that the woman who was HIV positive failed to tell him she had the deadly virus.
About a year ago, the woman while coming home from a night out was ‘corned’ by the man, 31 years old–and the man who was intoxicated raped her.
Initially, the man denied rape–and later argued that even if it happened, he was drunk and could not be criminally liable.
He was found guilty of rape and sentenced to 12 years in prison.
From prison, the man who has been diagnosed with HIV has now sued his rape victim, claiming she infected her with the disease–and that she did not warn him enough.
A judge will determine the legal grounds of his suits next month.
