Hon. Osafo Marfo, the Senior Minister of the Nana Addo led NPP government who suggested that the heritage fund should be used to fund the free SHS policy has said that the heritage fund should be used because “No one knows tomorrow”.

In an interview on Peace FM, Osarfo Marfo said: “I don’t know why people should complain because I suggested to Ghanaians that the NPP would use the heritage Fund to support the free SHS policy.”

“I know we are saving it for the future. But what if judgement day comes tomorrow? Will God spend the money? Let’s invest it in our children. No one knows tomorrow” angry Osarfo Marfo added.

Nana Addo Danquah has promised that the free SHS policy will be rolled out in September. Various discussions surrounding how it will be funded have dominated the media space withing the past week.
