A new study by the University of Ghana School of Psychology has revealed that African wives become less stressed when their husbands die.

Whiles men may find it more difficult to cope with life when their wives die, the study reveals that it is easier for women.

“African women have to deal with a lot of insecurities when their husbands are alive. They go through their phones for strange messages and some go to the extent of hiring private detectives to track every move of their husband”

Lead researcher, Kwabena Obeng said, in an interview with Radio Universe that insecurity is a major cause of stress for African women who are married. Hence, when their husbands die, they have a free mind.
