NSMQ: Representatives From Presby Boys Secondary School (PRESEC) Are Afraid To Go Back To School After Losing To Aquinas

In the final quiz of the semi final of the National Maths and Science Quiz, 5 time champions, PRESEC, were humbled by rivals, St. Thomas Aquinas SHS in a fierce contest which also involved Kumasi High School. The contest ended with Aquinas accumulating 52 points, PRESEC, 39 points and Kumasi High, 28 points.

After the contest had ended, the bus that students who accompanied the reps from Presec sat in had left and the reps were seated at the entrance of the hall where the quiz was held in a sorrowful mood.

When asked why they were still there while the others had left, this is what on of the reps had to say:

“We’ve been told not to come back to school. We have been threatened by our colleagues to be beaten so we are still sitting here for safety reasons.”
