Apostle Safo Kantanka Unveiled As 2016 Brand Ambassador For BO-16 Hair Relaxer

Apostle Dr. Kwadwo Safo Kantanka was on Wednesday, December 2, 2015 unveiled as the 2016 Brand Ambassador for BO-16 at a ceremony held at the La Palm Royal Beach Hotel in Accra.

Among other things, the technology guru is expected to work hand in hand with BO-16 to raise awareness and help make the product popular in West and East Africa – a strategy employed to beat their main competitor, U.B (Universal Basic).

Speaking at the all-girls event, Miss Juliet Ama Boahemaa, Chief Executive Officer of Ghandour Cosmetics, said the company is very excited about the BO-16 – Kantanka partnership because they want to connect with their customers and potential clients in Africa and they are certain Apostle Safo Kantanka is the right person who can project the product.

According to her, even though management suggested celebrities like Mercy Johnson, Jackie Appiah, Akosua Agyapong, Rihanna, and Nana Ama McBrown, they had to forgo all of them and settle for Ghana’s ‘Michael Jackson’ because he is a heavy user of BO-16 products as compared to the rest.

Speaking to ScrewLife.Com after the event, Apostle Safo Kantanka expressed joy at his new ambassadorial deal saying it came as a big surprise to him.

“I didn’t expect this. If Ghandour Cosmetics bypassed all these female celebrities and chose me, it means I have been doing something right. Actually, I started using BO-16 hair relaxer from the time when I was 15 years. I have been a very loyal customer so I deserve this,” he stated.

Per the contract signed by both parties, Apostle Safo Kantanka will receive 5 years supply of BO-16 products (BO-16 Hair Relaxer, BO-16 Mosturizer, BO-16 Conditioner, BO-16 Shampoo etc.). The company is also expected to pay him an amount of $300 billion for the deal.

Though the event came to an end successfully, there were some misunderstandings between 2 management members. One was accusing the other for allowing the company sign a man, even though the product is meant for ladies.

The other woman, on the other hand, said she didn’t know Apostle Safo was a man. “My bad; all these years, I thought he was a woman. Please forgive me because I never knew,” she humbly pleaded.

Nevertheless, the Winneba-based ‘Caitlyn Jenner’ still has his contract intact; and we are told his photo-shoot session for billboards comes off next week.
