Best Farmer in Ghana to Receive A Kantanka Rolls Royce, 8 Bedroom Apartment & $10 Million

Today marks the farmers’ day of Ghana’s great farmers who feed the country through their hard work. Every farmer looks up to this day with great expectation as that’s the day their sweat and toil are recognized and rewarded.
Over the years, many farmers have worked hard not only to feed themselves and their families, but also to enjoy the dignity, reward and pride that comes with being named the best farmer in Ghana.
Rewards given to the best farmer are reviewed year in year out. In some cases, the best farmer gets a tractor and a few bags of cement as reward. Some also are rewarded with TV sets, refrigerators and tractors.
Sometimes, they are given cartons of toilet roll, cutlasses and boxes of alcoholic beverages. All these were done as a way of encouraging farmers to work harder and make sure the country is supplied with food every now and then. Things have taken a new turn in this year’s farmers’ day celebrations with regards to rewards.
In a press conference at the Parliament House yesterday, the Agric Minister outlined the rewards that the best farmer year will receive this ywar. He stated that the best farmer will receive a Rolls Royce (2016 model) from Kantanka automobile, an 8 bedroom apartment, a Christmas trip to Dubai and $10 million spending money. The apartment he added would be built at the winner’s choice of location.
After the press conference, ScrewLife.Com interviewed the Minister for further clarifications. He said, instead of giving the farmers silos to store their harvest, they deem it better to give them the 8 bedroom apartment where they could use part of it as silos.
The Rolls Royce, he added, is to ease transportation despite the absence of feeder roads. The Minister concluded that the $10 million cash reward is for the farmer to spend. He said that they just felt like giving the money out since they had too much of it.
