Asylum

Reggie and Bollie’s involvement in this year’s X Factor made the show a house hold name in Ghana. The support became massive when the duo made it to the finals.

In order to show support, Government of Ghana sent 12 delegates to UK to support the Ghanaian contestants as reported by ScrewLife.Com.

Members of the delegation were to watch the show on TV as a way of supporting. This is because government could not afford buying them tickets to the venue but could buy them air tickets for the journey.

The grand finale came on yesterday with 17 year old Louisa Johnson winning the ultimate and Reggie and Bollie placing second. The end of the show meant that the duty of the delegation was over and are expected in Ghana by tomorrow morning.

Fresh reports reaching ScrewLife.Com from UK has it that, the 12 Government delegates sent to support Reggie and Bollie have all sought asylum in the UK—saying, the economic condition in Ghana has become unbearable under the leadership of President John Dramani Mahama.

The delegation in their asylum application also stated that, there is a serious disease in Ghana called Dumsor. This disease has claimed the lives of so many Ghanaians and efforts made by government to find a cure have resulted to nothing. “Going back to Ghana would be suicidal”, their application concluded.

The asylum application is currently under review—meanwhile, free accommodation and food have been provided by the UK’s government for these delegates.

The office of the president of Ghana is yet to say a word about this development.
