University Workers in Nigeria Threaten to Join Nigeria Association of 419 If President Buhari Sacks Them
Ever since he gained power, Nigeria’s President Buhari has been on the heels of civil workers in the country. He has managed to sack a lot of them from their posts since he gained power. This has made all ministers and civil workers alert as they don’t know when their president will cone visiting.
During his state of the nation’s address, Prez. Buhari cautioned university workers to be diligent and approach their work with all seriousness. He added that in 2016, he plans on sacking over 2000 university workers whom he thinks do not take their work serious. This statement by the president did not go down well with the University Workers Association of Nigeria.
A day after the President’s address, chairman of the association Mr. Sunday Ogbonna also released a press statement on behalf of the association. In the press release he stated that, they plead with the president to disabuse his mind of the idea of sacking them. He will leave them with no option than to join one of the most ruthless yet rich associations in the country, Nigeria 419 Associations.
According to him, the Nigeria 419 Associations has promised each of them a sum of 20 million Naira should they join the group. These and other incentives he believes will even make their decision to join the group easier—when booted out.
