Moesha Boduong Says She Would Have Played Ama K’s Role In Beast of No Nation If Not For Her Body

Netflix’s Beast of No Nation is currently the most talked-about movie in Ghana due to the simple fact that it featured Ghanaian-born street vendor who is now a superstar, Abraham Attah.
Though Abraham was not the only Ghanaian featured in the movie, he is the most discussed. In the movie, Ghanaian actress and TV host, Ama K. Abebrese played the role of Agu’s (Abraham Attah) mom and her performance was superb.
Few hours after music producer, Ahmed Banda popular known as Bandex revealed that his son Rahim Banda was tipped to play Agu in the movie, Instagram celebrity, Moesha Boudong has also come out claiming she was the one Netflix contacted to play Agu’s mom in Beast of No Nation.
According to her, she could not take up the role because of her voluptuous body. Speaking on Hitz FM this afternoon, Moesha said the producers needed a slim person to play that kind of role.
Asked how the producers got to know about her, Moesha said they read about her on the internet and got to know about her acting abilities. She continued by saying they fell in love with an old picture of her so when they came to Ghana and saw the change, they decided to opt for someone else, hence Ama K. Abebrese.
