Buju Banton, an international reggae and dancehall star who is currently serving prison sentence for a cocaine conviction through his people have reached out to Ghana’s self acclaimed dancehall King-Shatta Wale.

Per information gathered, someone took a collection of Shatta Wale’s song into the prison where Buju is serving his 10 years-jail time—and the dancehall super star fell in love with all the tracks, especially the famous ‘Everybody Likes My Thing.’

Having fallen deeply in love with Shatta Wale’s creative excellence, Buju Banton told his manager to contact Shatta and arrange for his first recording session with him when he comes out of prison in 2019.

Shatta Wale is extremely excited about the Buju acknowledgement—saying, it feels great to have folks like Buju enjoying his songs.

“I have never been happy like this before in my life. To have someone like Buju Banton listening to your songs and falling in love with them to the extent that his people have made contact is beyond anything I imagined,” Shatta Wale said.
